Hair dressing is a profession, unlike most other professions, that requires you to be ‘on-trend’ or ‘trend-setting’ in order to be relevant.  The styles that leave a salon are the statements to the public about how each stylist interprets their hair styling world, as it relates to each client.

janet-smileA few months ago, while attending the Premier Hair Show, inspiration came to me in the form of…simplicity.  The haircuts and styles exhibited were classics, presented as new – complex, but effortless in look – current and edgy, but maintaining a chic aesthetic.  I believe seeing each of these trends made me realize, that although each style appeared no more complicated than what I already knew to do – these sleek looks came from a serious understanding of hair.

I returned home from the hair show feeling motivated to analyze and further improve my skills. I reached out to some impressive colleagues of mine to guide me on my search for classes, groups and ongoing education.  From this, I have become further connected to the industry I LOVE and more than motivated to grow and develop my skills in a few areas for example modern highlighting techniques, such as Ombres and Sombres, men’s cuts, fashion forward hair coloring and Balayage color services.

Great techniques and services have bloomed at Scissor Happy Hair Salon and I am ready to STYLE.  Be prepared to be ‘wowed’ as you witness the styles that leave my salon – I intend to make some BIG statements through the lovely locks of each of my clients!
